Mr. Perez served on the staff of the Crotona Community Coalition, a nonprofit organization engaged in the revitalization and development of affordable housing of 1000s of apartments in the south Bronx, as well as educating tenants of their housing rights. Mr. Perez is an experienced financier, developer, owner and operator of commercial real estate management including more than 1,000 multifamily housing units and 2,000,000 square feet of retail shopping center and office buildings. These properties were bought and sold between 1997 and 2006. Currently, Mr. Perez is responsible for the acquisitions, development, managing and financing of projects that includes student housing, shopping center, retail strips and multi-family apartment and office buildings.
For the past 30 years, Mr. Perez has been involved directly and indirectly with financing, development, ground-up construction and property management of moderate to large scale projects predominantly on the East Coast of the US. His vast financing experience includes over $1 Billion, of both debt and equity funding through many sources including conventional, conduit and private sources.
Mr. Perez has been a principal of full-service real estate firms, which have financed the acquisitions and conduct the management of real estate assets and investments for the company's own account and his capital partners. He has been a principal with Park Beach Capital Partners and Celcor Financial Group, Inc., both private real estate financing and investment banking firms. He is an experienced owner and operator of these types of assets. Educational experience includes a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mercy College, the Real Estate Management Program from New York University. Mr. Perez has been duly licensed by New York State as a real estate broker since 1993. Mr. Perez is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA).
